A local centre with deep roots
Mountainside Educare is locally owned and operated and was established in 2016 and is a purpose-built early childhood centre in Albert Town, Wānaka.
As part of our emphasis on quality education and care, we offer low teacher-child ratios, with qualified and certified kaiako.
BETWEEN MAUNGA AND AWA
Designed for quality education and care
Our Centre incorporates two classrooms; Te Awa Ruma and Te Maunga Ruma. Awa Ruma is for our tamariki under 2 years old and our Maunga Ruma is for tamariki aged over 2 years old.
We are nestled in between Whatakaupapa (Mt Iron) and Mata-au (Clutha River). Our philosophy is at the very root of what we believe, value and treasure. We believe that we all forge our own pathway to reach the peak of te maunga, the mountain, with the support and guidance of others. We value the unique kete of knowledge that each and every one of us bring to Mountainside Educare. This is a place where aroha, tuakana-teina, whanaungatanga, and whakamana are treasured most.

20 Hours ECE
Our Centre offers WINZ subsidies and 20 hours ECE education for 3 – 5 year olds.
From babies to school
We provide full day, quality education and care for babies, right up to tamariki who are ready for school.
Open weekdays
Our license is for 52 children within our hours of 7.30am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
